Description
Summary:This report presents the design, implementation, and control of a quadratic boost converter. The quadratic boost converter is an improved topology of the traditional DC-DC boost converter that offers a quadratic conversion ratio with a wide conversion range. Various feedback controllers such as the Output Feedback Controller, Non-Adaptive Current Mode-Controller, Adaptive Current-Mode Controller, and the Sliding Mode-Controller are implemented to regulate the output voltage of the quadratic boost converter. The controllers are subjected to different tests to evaluate their performances. The experimental results are presented to illustrate the characteristics of each controller under different conditions.
