Extreme weather events such as floods destroy infrastructures and impede the way people travel and commute daily. This purpose of this final year project is to make use of existing data bases to estimate the gross domestic product and population that would be at risk in flood related events and to approximate the monetary loss that would be incurred in such weather disaster. This would provide more information to a country that is extremely prone to floods hence raising the risk awareness. Cambodia has been identified as the country of interest this study is focusing on and the capital city, Phnom Penh was found to incur significant damages.
