While this is more commonly used in the private sector as part of their branding efforts, the local social sector is seriously lacking in this practice to attract and retain talents .This exploratory study thus acts as a starting point for the exploration of EVP in Singapore’s social sector. In-depth information was obtained from respondents by rigorous interviewing them, as it allowed further probing when necessary. This study found that factors such as one’s work environment, feedback from leaders and given autonomy are crucial appeals for intrinsically driven individuals working the social sector. These influential dimensions should be included in one such organization’s EVP whenever possible. The widespread challenge of limited financial and human resources as well as ill-informed public are tremendous hindrances of social sector’s ability to do more.
