Description
Summary:This report presents an investigation on the effects of wettability and how different parameters such as tilting angles might affect the performance of condensation frosting and defrosting on different wettability surfaces. An experimental setup consisting of goniometer will be used to allow for precise angle adjustments to obtain an accurate study and analysis of this investigation. The process of condensation frosting and defrosting will be captured with sCMOS pco.edge camera with Navitar zoom lens. Capable of capturing low noise, high resolution and frame rate videos, they can then be meticulously processed and studied through ImageJ software. In this study, three types of substrates namely: hydrophilic, hydrophobic and superhydrophobic, will be used for comparison and analysis when subjected to various parameters. Furthermore, to provide a coherent comprehension and methodical flow of this research, literature reviews on previous studies of dynamic frosting and defrosting were included.
