Summary: | Compared with other energy sources, PEMFC has the advantages of high power density, low operating temperatures and high efficiency, making it a popular alternative for fossil fuel. However, there are a lot of parameters to determine the performance of the fuel cell, and more research need to be done to have a better understanding on maximizing fuel cell life while minimizing related losses. Therefore, this project is aimed to determine how the operating parameters affect the fuel cell performance and select the best parameter in each. In this project, the hot-pressing parameters, gas flow back pressure, cell temperature, oxygen humidification temperature and catalyst coated membrane (CCM) are measured. As a result, bast result in hot-pressing pressure, hot-pressing temperature, hot-pressing time, gas flow back pressure, cell temperature, oxygen humidification temperature and CCM has been selected. |
