Even though there are manycommercial software available for usage nowadays, the software programs are very expensive and require the user to be knowledgeable in order to use it. In this project, a software that is easy to use is developed under Android studio version 4.1.3 platform and coded with kotlin language. This is done to ensure that the software program is user-friendly and serves asa platform for undergraduate students to understand the design of heat exchangerswithout spendingany money to buy the software program. This project make use of the effectiveness-NTU method for the design and performance calculationof a cross flow heat exchanger where the useris required to input their operating conditions to obtain the desired surface area, heat transfer rate and the outlet temperatures. The results computed by the software program have been validated by manual calculationswhich will be shown in alater chapter.
