During the circuit breaker in Singapore, although Lazada had hired more staff to overcome the overflow of the delivery system, customers are still experiencing a delay in their services. Thus, an alternative solution of having a delivery system with UAV is proposed for higher efficiency without incurring any additional cost. Multi-parcel delivery is suggested instead of a single parcel to maximize the efficiency of the delivery system by taking into consideration the parameters of the selected UAV. Before the designing stage, a review of the cluster analysis and the respective algorithms is done to gain a comprehensive understanding of the possible improvement. In the multi-parcel delivery system with UAV, warehouse location is relocated based on accessibility while the parcel scheduling and route planning algorithms are formed based on the specification of the selected UAV. By comparing the results generated from the current and proposed delivery system, the delivery system with UAV is shown to have a significant improvement in productivity and cost-effectiveness. Manpower can also be minimized by delivering parcels autonomously. Hence, the delivery system with UAV is shown to be workable.
