Description
Summary:It is important for one to accumulate wealth in order to live comfortably upon retirement. Unfortunately, many are not saving adequately for their future. Our descriptive study examines how 12 individuals from diverse circumstances (such as age, gender, education level and financial attitude) plan for their retirement. A multiple-case study research approach is adopted, with in-depth interviews employed as our primary data collection method. The quantitative data was then assessed based on a self-designed scoring checklist to determine the quality of the respondents’ retirement plans, taking into account the qualitative information they provided as well. Consequently, we came to the general conclusions that older men have better financial plans, and that education level and financial attitude do not have any significant impact on one’s retirement plans.
