Description
Summary:As part of the course’s requirements, it is mandatory for all final year undergraduates of the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) to undertake a Final Year Project (FYP). The Student Selection System (SSS) is developed to reduce the complexity and error-prone process of manual allocation of FYP to undergraduates by utilizing efficient algorithms to solve the allocation problem and minimize human error through automation. Similarly, nearing the end of the FYP, an examiner to be allocated with each project will need to be allocated. Therefore, the FYP Examiner Allocation System (FEAS) was developed to automate the process. Shortly after the establishments of the SSS and FEAS, the responsibility to maintain the systems have been passed down from students to students. Therefore, the aim of this project is to expand upon the work of the previous students, continue performing maintenance work, and introduce improvements to the systems. This report explains the systems that required to maintain, and the list of improvements made to the systems. Some of the improvements made includes documentation work and a revamp of the user interface. Overall, the implemented improvements address the issues raised by the supervisor and previous students.
