These alternative sources must be preferably cheaper and easy to make. For this project, we are focusing on blending organic compounds with nano-particles in solar cells. Although this idea is new, this can be a much economical and effective way of reducing or divert the usage of non-renewable resources. We will be exploring the ways to obtain these organic compounds that can be used in solar cells. The organic compounds that can be used are sent for other tests, such as their mechanical properties, to find out whether the organic compounds are versatile enough to be used in other electronics. We will be using TGA and DSC to do all these primary tests. For this project, we will be separating into two different parts and in this report; the emphasis is on obtaining the highest yield for pure specimens to be sent for further reactions and identifying possible ways to increase yield percentage.
