Description
Summary:With the vigorous development of global markets and increasing customer demands, companies must respond quickly and take a lead among competitors to reduce costs. In general, these require a changeable production structure to meet a wide range of product categories. It can be realized by adopting the concept of a Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RMS). This research presents the design and optimization methods of a reconfigurable production line based on digital twin (DT). The proposed design and method adopt a multi-objective optimization method, and continue to optimize in the simulation, and finally be verified. After the reconfigurable production line is implemented, a DT technology can be used to optimize it in three directions: shortening production time, reducing production costs, and improving production balance rate. Through a specific case implementation, the results show that the proposed design and optimization plan of the reconfigurable production line based on the DT technology has high use value and guiding significance for the improvement of the production line in the smart factory.
