Description
Summary:“Like father, like son” is a personal photographic installation that aims at exploring the ambiguous nature of family relationships. Through eight-month multimedia documentation of cohabitation between my grandfather and father, their inherent yet tenuous connection has been revealed in an unexpected and explicit way – the everchanging interpersonal distance to the magnification of intricate sentiments over generations under circumscribed life space in the pandemic. This project also introspects on the interrelation between factual distance and emotional distance over generations of family members, and to what extent do they shape one’s family and personal identity.
