Design of a compact and wideband horn antenna

Horn antenna is a simple antenna with high gain and wide bandwidth, It is widely used in the military field, usually used as radar and receive signal equipment etc. It is also often used to test standard antennas. However, the low frequency part of the horn antenna is usually large, heavy, cumbers...

However, the low frequency part of the horn antenna is usually large, heavy, cumbersome and not convenient to use. In order to meet the diverse needs of antennas, especially the balance between the working and the volume in the low frequency band, this dissertation chooses TEM horn antenna as the research direction and changes its structure to achieve the experimental purpose by studying many methods to reduce the size of antennas and broaden the working band of antennas. A new type of TEM horn antenna is designed, which is smaller in size and has a wide operating band. It can perform better than the conventional TEM horn antenna in low frequency band.
