随着二十世纪后半期‘空间转向’（spatial turn）理论的逐渐兴起，‘空间’也成为人文学科、社会学科、哲学等多个学术领域所关注的研究对象。空间书写便是研究的范围之一。然而，空间的书写不只是存在于小说、电影等文化、文学产品里，在流行音乐里也能看到对空间的叙述。不过，至今对流行音乐里空间的研究并不多。 回看香港的流行音乐的发展，会发现香港乐坛出现了不少以香港为主题，唱出关于香港地、香港事的歌曲。这些歌曲记录了香港的点点滴滴，是历史的见证，也是社会的缩影。本文将通过地形研究的角度去探讨香港流行歌曲中的空间意象在叙述香港的历史文化所起到的作用与其意义，以及探讨歌词中所在再现的香港。 关键词：香港、流行音乐、流行文化、空间、地形 With the growing interest in what is called the ‘spatial turn’, the topic of ‘space’ has become increasingly popular research topic across various disciplines. The study of the writing of spaces is one research area in focus. Though the writing of spaces is often found in mediums such as novels and movies, we can also spot the writing of spaces in popular music. However, the writing of spaces in popular music has not been widely discussed till date. Looking back at the development of Hong Kong’s popular music, it is not hard to find songs writing about the places in Hong Kong. These songs are a record of Hong Kong’s history and culture and can be seen as an epitome of society. This thesis aims to analyse the topography in the writing of spaces and its functions and meaning in Hong Kong’s popular music. This thesis also aims to explore the reproduction of Hong Kong‘s image in popular music. Keywords: Hong Kong, Popular Music, Popular Culture, Space, Topography
