This documentary, titled The Same Ties That Bind, is produced by a group of four graduating students from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The Same Ties That Bind tells the stories of two groups of families – a mother and her son, and an uncle and his nephew. Through these stories, the short explores family acceptance of gay people in Singapore. This report details the production process of The Same Ties That Bind, from the initial idea conceptualization to the end product.
