Description
Summary:Improvements in Alternating current electroluminescent devices (ACEL) has brought about new applications where it can be utilised. However there are still areas that require further development. In this project, Silver Nanowire (AgNW) and Carbon Nanotubes (CNT) will be used together to form a transparent conducting electrode (TCE) which will be used in an ACEL device. Firstly, the composition for the CNT / AgNW layer has to be determined by varying the amount of both materials to form a layer with high transmittance and low resistivity. It will then be assembled into an ACEL device which will be compared to a ACEL device with a FTO TCE made out of Fluorine doped Tin Oxide (FTO). Performance of the ACEL device with the CNT / AgNW TCE will be analysed by the bending ratio and number of bending cycles of the sample.
