This phenomenon seems to be getting a foothold in our family lives for generations to come. As such, this project is an exploration on how family members can better interact at home, particularly in the common spaces. Through sharing, emotional experiences can be enriched, enhancing the feeling of being together. The outcome is a set of objects situated around the living room area that facilitates sharing. With its beanbag bottom and twin-layout tabletop that rests comfortably across 2 laps, the Snacktable allows for 2 persons to share a snack while lounging in front of the television. In a puzzle, a picture can never be complete without all the pieces coming together. Likewise, the Snacktable can only be useful with its matching set of dining ware, fit snugly into their appropriate placeholders. The Flower, making itself useful as a remote control stand, spontaneously places itself in front of them, providing a central spot for remote controls, easing frustration. There is much unity, through similar motifs used in this family of objects.
