Description
Summary:Technology has helped streamline many time-consuming processes, allowing institutions to save time, cost, and resources. It can be used to replace manual labor like taking attendance for lessons or scheduling classes for staff and students. Unfortunately, the scheduling of classes for Nanyang Technological University, School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) is done using an older system running on an out-of-date Operating System (OS); hence Multi- School Online Timetable System (MSOTPS) was proposed and built. MSOTPS was initially developed to allow the course coordinator to effectively use an updated timetable and scheduling system to plan for every academic year. MSOTPS has been developed using state-of-the-art web development technologies like JavaScript, ReactJS, and MySQL. Improvements have been made by students who previously took this project; however, the system is not yet completed. In this project, further implementations and enhancements of features and modules are done to make the system fully functional for actual use in the future. This report will discuss the research, design, implementation, and future enhancements of the system.
