In addition, facial recognition system can also be used for attendance taking in organizations and institutions to keep track of the attendance of employees and students. Despite the fact that there is a surge of popularity in facial recognition systems, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) still relies on a manual way of taking lab attendance. This ineffective traditional method of manual attendance is mainly plagued by two problems: inefficiency and inaccuracy. To address the above issues, I propose developing a user-friendly web application system that uses facial recognition as a form of lab attendance taking system.
