Summary: | NTU current e-learning website edventure is a very versatile and function filled website, however edventure lacks of functionality to grade image assignment with a user friendly interface. It is not very efficient for the instructor to grade the assignment separately outside of edventure then manually update the score in edventure. In this project, the Image Workbench software is proposed to aid instructor to manage, compare and grade the image assignment effectively.
Since Image Workbench is a web application, some research had been conducted on to different available frameworks. Strengths and weaknesses of each framework have been obtained and taken into consideration while choosing the correct framework.
With the objective keep in mind, Image Workbench application is carefully designed with no redundant function that might ruin the user interface. The color scheme was carefully considered as coloring is a very powerful tool in the display information. Besides that, instructor could compare multiple assignment images together to determine which image is the best among all. Other than that, instructor could perform operation like sort, resize, change image window header to assist them in grading assignment. Lastly, the Image Workbench application allows the instructor to directly grade the assignment images from the Image Workbench directly.
Although the functional requirements were met in this project, additional functions could be add to the Image Workbench application to further enhance on the capabilities of the application. Recommendations for future improvement are discussed at the end of the report. |
