The project involves building a small distributed generation system with a program that monitors and controls the operation of the system. This report covers the research done on the system and the author’s contribution to this continual project. The report begins with a description of its objective, background of the project and the scope. Next it provides a theoretical background of a distributed generation system and also information on monitoring system that is used in the industry. The main discussion deals with a detailed description of both the hardware and software aspect of the system and how the program in the system works. The main discussion also involves testing of the system and observation made through the testing.
