During this period, Examinations have been halted in Singapore large-scale gathering was prohibited due to the safe distancing measure. This propels educational institutions to shift examinations to online and there is a rising demand for an online platform that could meet their needs. Firstly, various existing online platforms are examined to investigate how assessment in an internet learning environment could be held to ensure a more efficient and conducive examination process for both students and lecturers in ensuring that the application is secured and well maintained to prevent any leakage or change of data from unknown sources. Next, several functionalities are developed according to the needs of each group of users. For administrators and lecturers, a user-friendly graphical overview of student performance is provided for them to better understand student performance. For the technical support team, a series of meaningful analytical logs that record users’ usage of the application would be sent for them to monitor the technical records and promptly identify any misuse of the application such that quick actions could be taken to rectify any issues. For example, the system could identify unauthorized users and ban the corresponding IP address accordingly. Subsequently, functionalities such as blasting targeted email ensure that the needs of the target user receive content suited specifically to his/her needs. Having email blasting is beneficial for the system indefinitely. For example, if a suspicious hacker from another country is trying to hack into the system, the administrator or technical support team will receive an email notification immediately and thus carry out ways and methods to prevent the hacker from penetrating our system simultaneously when the system detects the activity so that quick actions could be taken to prevent stolen of any information or share any of their personal and private data. Hence reducing the workload of users as they do not need to monitor the system for 24 hours to keep track of the current system performance. All the above-mentioned security, analytical, and notification functionalities would create a synergistic benefit for the online auto-assessment learning application, as school lecturers and technical support teams could make use of the data and harness further insights to continuously improve the online assessment process. Given that, online assessment is here to stay. Students using the platform will more likely be able to adopt a convergent learning style and view online learning positively as a springboard Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) 2022-05-11T07:35:11Z 2022-05-11T07:35:11Z 2022 Final Year Project (FYP) Heng, E. The worldwide pandemic has interrupted students around the globe.
