Description
Summary:With the advent of new technologies, gone are the days of paper as more people consume their content digitally. This phenomenon has led to a new wave of digital publishing houses that are re-innovating the way people read today. No longer static, the eBook has evolved to one that is interactive. The proliferation of eBooks is seen in the education sector alongside the rising demand for eBooks for e-learning. However, the supply of eBook creators for those without design and technical backgrounds is limited. Thus, Dream&Tell caters to independent children's books authors and teachers – those who lack the design and tech experience – who want to create interactive stories for children. Dream&Tell is an automated storytelling application. It removes all the menial tasks such as design and development, letting users focus on storytelling. With its Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithm, users only need to upload their stories, and the website will generate a fully interactive eBook filled with images and sound. To start creating a story, a user has to make an account. If users still want to make customisations to their eBooks, they can do so by accessing the edit feature. In edit mode, users can alter the appearance of their eBook by changing its background, font colour, etc. Aside from writing their own stories, other features include publishing or privatising their work and an explore page for users to read interactive eBooks created by other users.
