GDWC is an annual game development competition for any individual or group interested in game development. This project is the fourth component of a group project in collaboration with my teammates Theodore Loke, Jeannie Chan, and Chloe Khoo. The focus of this component is the sound design of a video game and how it can bring about an immersive experience. In this report, I will go into detail about the importance of an immersive sound design in a video game, as well as the methods of designing audio for video games using a simple digital audio workstation (DAW) called Pro Tools, including the limitations and challenges faces during the process. This report also mentions how all the various audio components are brought together with the other components of the game done by my teammates. In conclusion, this report details the steps needed to create immersive sound design and measures that can be taken to improve on the existing effects.
