Description
Summary:This report presents a survey on key technologies of 5G and future 6G wireless communication channel measurements, characteristics, and models for all frequencies and scenarios. This report is classified into three main sections 5G and future 6G wireless communication networks, for global coverage scenarios and application scenarios. For general wireless communication networks: • Millimeter-wave (mm-wave)/Terahertz • Visible light wireless communication channels (VLC) For wireless communication networks for global coverage scenarios: • Satellite communication channels • Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) • Maritime communication channels • Underwater acoustic communication channels For wireless communication networks application • High-speed train (HST) communication channels • Ultra-massive multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) communication channels • Orbital angular momentum (OAM) communication channels • Industry Internet of Things (IoT) communication channels This report provided an analysis of important parameters affecting the performance of HST wireless communication comparing two different models and provides a summary of the terahertz wireless communication. This report also proposed future research challenges of the 6G channel model, artificial intelligence (AI) & machaca learning (ML) channel measurements and models.
