الملخص:In the latter half of the 20th century, digital electronics take a rise in a new age of information technology. Digital communication has been essential for almost every device we have today. There are several techniques involved regarding communication, we will be looking into Frequency-hopped spread-spectrum (FHSS). FHSS is widely used for both military and commercial applications. And in certain applications where security is an issue, the technique of FHSS is preferred in these situations, as it boasts high resistant to interference/jamming. The focus of this project is to analyze Fast-FHSS communication system and compare BER when different combining methods are used and discuss its effect on MAI and fading conditions. Since the basic modulation scheme used is BFSK, a brief introduction of BFSK will be given along with the fundamentals of FHSS. MATLAB will be used to simulate the BER and by changing different combining methods under different channel conditions, we can make a comparison against one another. Lastly, all the BER results will be compiled and discussed to find which system is that gives the most advantage.
