Smart manufacturing (SM) is a technology-driven approach that utilizes Internet-connected machinery to monitor the production process. Intelligent manufacturing can accurately predict requirements, identify defects, and make innovation and manufacturing processes more manageable. This is a process that combines a variety of technologies and solutions into a traditional manufacturing process. In this thesis, we study, analyze and improve the optimal and correct-by-construction schedules for flexible production systems.
