Summary: | With the advancement in technology, the TV broadcasting system has been evolution
to improve end-user experience. Many countries have embarked on the journey of
ASO where they switch from analogue broadcasting to digital broadcasting.
In Singapore, we have completed ASO and switch over to digital broadcasting with
DVB-T2 since 2012. Hence, it is important for us to understand the various factors
that will affect the signal.
In this report, literature review was first done on the topics related to this project,
followed by the measurement approach used and lastly the measurements results
collected and the analysis of measurement results.
From this project, we are able to understand how signals are affected by some
factors. For example, bidirectional antenna seems to have a better signal than
omnidirectional antenna, higher level seems to have better signal than lower level. |
