Description
Summary:Digital Video Broadcasting – Second Generation Terrestrial (DVB-T2) has been widely adopted for broadcasting. Since fading and interference will possibly occur with a wireless signal, hence, it is necessary to analyze its impact on DVB-T2 demodulation. The focus of this study is on decoding interference and fading channels in DVB-T2 signals. A comprehensive literature review will be conducted on existing DVB-T2 system models. Commonly encountered fading and interference models will be explored and applied to DVB signals. MATLAB simulations using the Common Simulation Platform (CSP), developed by the DVB consortium, will be modified. The bit-error-rate performance of DVB-T2 signals will be analyzed and existing results will be reproduced and compared.
