Summary: | Lifelong learning is a form of self-motivated learning that focuses on the continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge throughout an individual’s life. This form of learning is widely encouraged for both personal and professional development, and can also be said to be closely related to the future of work. As such, in order to foster the lifelong learning mindset in graduates, NTU’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) has opened up a new space, Lifelong Learning @ EEE, for them. This space aims to enhance the learning experience of these graduates, as well as to promote lifelong learning at the same time.
With the opening of the new space, inevitably, there would be a need for an effective management of the space to alleviate any form of disorganisation. Students should be able to utilise the facilities in the space with little to no hassle, and administrators of the space should be able to regulate the utilisation of this space, as well as to manage events and workshops happening in the space. Thus, this project aims to bring the management of the EEE Lifelong Learning Space online. The main objective is to provide an all-in-one platform for information about this space, as well as the events happening in the space, to be disseminated to the students, specifically MSc students in EEE. Through this web-based platform, students are able to reserve seats or book a room in the space, as well as to register for workshops or events being held in the space. |
