Seed tracking system
Forests in recent times have been dwindling in density and as such, there has been an increase in the need for reforestation efforts. Plants in a forest rely on dispersal agents such as animals and natural wind to for seeds to be scattered. The survival of the seedling heavily depends on where th...

Plants in a forest rely on dispersal agents such as animals and natural wind to for seeds to be scattered. The survival of the seedling heavily depends on where they land eventually. Thus, the locations in which the seeds take root are of great importance. This report will show the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in determining the location of seeds in a forest. The technology used and ideology behind the experiment will be broken down and explained. Lastly, the results and analysis of the feasibility of this method will be used to determine the use of RFID for seed tracking.
