Another issue with commercializing a hyperspectral imager is the cost. A hyperspectral imager which would require the use of a costly spectrometer which strongly deter it into entering commercialization. In this Thesis, we put multitrack acquisition technique into a hyperspectral imager to create a multitrack hyperspectral imager and observe its benefit. This project looks at recreating a multitrack hyperspectral imager using DMD as a spatial modulator and a self-built multitrack spectrometer. A single track hyperspectral imager with a spectrometer will first be used to test the imaging quality. The multitrack spectrometer would then be derived from the single track spectrometer. The multitrack spectrometer would have to be calibrated in the x and y dimension as the spatial track and wavelength respectively. A sample will be imaged and recreated multiple times to observe the reliability and repeatability of the system.
