Summary:Game Development World Championship (GDWC) is an annual game development competition for game developer teams of different background, ranging from hobby categories for amateur game developers, to studios with 3A titles. The purpose of this final year project is to design and deliver a playable demo of a 2D Role-playing Game (RPG), which will be submitted to GDWC 2022. This is a collaborative project for 3 students, Zhanke Du, Yifan Yao, and Qiyu Wang, who is the author of this report. The author was mainly responsible for the design aspect of the game, including the design of gameplay, writing Non-player Character (NPC) dialogues and mails, creating worlds’ and characters’ concept art and producing in-game assets. The author also contributed to the programming side of the game by adding and testing the audio, including SFX and BGM into the game. This report would discuss the author’s accomplishments and contributions towards this project throughout this one-year project.
