The scope of the project will include investigating the power infrastructures, participants, and pricing strategies of the Singapore power market, investigation of AC and DC loads in the current AC distribution network and will propose a software for load management under the Singapore power market. This project will evaluate hybrid AC/DC distribution network infrastructures consisting of the multiple DC microgrids overlaying the current power infrastructure of the AC network. The project will propose a distribution network that will be enhanced with smart features and includes renewable energy sources which are obtainable in Singapore’s natural environment. The project will serve as a basis for further studies in the field of hybrid AC/DC distribution networks, embedded with smart technologies for the Singapore power network. description |
This project aims to investigate the existing power infrastructures and aid in developing a robust multiple-bus smart hybrid AC/DC distribution network for future communities by improving power efficiency to reduce cost to market participants.
