Description
Summary:For the past few years, childhood obesity is widely known and has already become a widespread pandemic throughout the globe, including Singapore. Despite many other factors that might contribute to childhood obesity, one of the major causes is due to children’s poor diets. People in Singapore tend to eat out more often due to busy schedules and for convenience, hence the consumption of unhealthy meals becomes a norm. One of the possible solutions may be to improve children’s knowledge by providing nutrition information of various food. Apart so, it is also very important to encourage and motivate children to prepare their own simple and healthy meals. With the current existing cooking simulation games that are available in the market, it only teaches children on how to cook, but it lacks realism and interactivity with the player. With the help of Manomotion SDK, it provides real-time hand tracking and gesture control that can be integrated into different platforms which will make it a more user-friendly since users will not have to worry about any incompatible of platforms. With just a simple equipment such as a pre-existing camera of a mobile device, Manomotion SDK will be able to run and work smoothly and allow user to manipulate the game objects using their hands movements and gestures. Lastly, Manomotion SDK will further improve the user experience with the cooking game. The objective of this project is to further enhance the current project from 2D to 3D cooking simulation using the proposed tools, Unity3D and Manomotion SDK to create a more enjoyable and wonderful experience for the user. Not just so, with the new upcoming enhancement, it will also improve their cooking experience with the help of the simulation of the game and will help to widen their knowledge about food nutrition.
