Most of the time, this fear of being rejected ends up with one side not speaking out or just going with the flow. This translates to an unsatisfactory dining experience. Therefore, this project aims to create a mobile app that allows friends to choose a location and swipe the restaurants. If both parties have swiped the same restaurant, that will form a match and these restaurants will be displayed to both parties at the end of the swipes. This mobile application, Vivers provides a way for everyone’s opinions to be heard. With only the positive swipes being displayed, this allows both parties to focus on what they want to eat instead of what they do not want to eat, leading to a more pleasant discussion about what to eat. The mobile application was created using the React Native framework, together with Expo and Firebase for the backend. This report will explore the development process of the app, the end results, as well as the challenges faced.
