Description
Summary:An oscilloscope is a widely used laboratory instrument, it is commonly used to analyse and display the waveform of an electronic signal and shows the voltage change over time. As many engineering students do not have prior engineering background for the most part (due to the fact that students may come from a junior college background), they may not know how to operate an oscilloscope properly and the mechanism behind it. This report focuses on developing interactive hardware and software that helps users to learn more about oscilloscopes. This project showcases the implementation of hardware components of a simple oscilloscope and the software development of the microcontroller that is used to build the oscilloscope which helps the users to learn more about the operation of the oscilloscope and the mechanism behind it. The hardware part of this project helps users to addon the interaction of the simple oscilloscope. It helps the users to have a hands-on experience and understands the basic function of the oscilloscope. With the help of the Arduino IDE, it integrates the hardware and software system together. It allows the users to integrate the software code into the Arduino Nano microcontroller which acts as the operating system of the simple oscilloscope.
