Description
Summary:One of the major goals that many MSc students have is to land the desired career opportunity upon graduation from their postgraduate study. This Final Year Project is focused on the design and development of a full-stack web application. The web application aims to increase awareness of MSc students, more specifically students with international backgrounds, of career resources provided by the university. Having awareness of these resources, MSc students could utilize them to fulfill their career aspirations. Moreover, amid the trend of digitalization in Singapore, the demand for engineering professionals has been increasing steadily. More and more jobs need students with electrical and electronic backgrounds to help enterprises thrive in the digital age. As such, the other functionality of the web application is to provide a platform for employers who plans to hire MSc students from the School of EEE to post opportunities and enable MSc students to easily recognize these exclusive opportunities on the platform to reach their career goals in the sectors of electrical and electronic engineering. Based on the client-server model, the web application includes authentication functionality during sign-up and login progress, guaranteeing the exclusiveness of the web app for MSc students. Administrators from the School of EEE and the university could also gain data-driven insights from the administrator dashboard gathering activity data of the web application.
