Description
Summary:Recreational opportunities take on growing importance in the work-driven society and lives of Singaporeans. However, as locals attempt to search for recreational avenues in their downtime, they are often met with an over-saturation of commercialised tourist recommendations and dismally limited relevant, localised alternatives. This significant lack of suitable recreational opportunities that fulfil locals’ needs and lifestyle preferences overtime presents issues such as Singaporeans’ diminishing interest in and sense of belonging to their own city and amongst their respective communities in Singapore. This project aims to provide a platform that empowers Singaporeans to discover and create what the city has to offer in terms of local recreation entirely on their own personalised terms. As Singaporeans connect with and support local offerings by local communities, it steps towards fostering a reinvigorated sense of belonging and interest amongst Singaporeans in the city.
