Passive and listless towards life despite his flourishing circumstances, he soon discovers happiness from the music emitted by a mysterious hole in the wall of his new HDB apartment. Finnick would ultimately sacrifice the life he had to drown himself in the hole’s blissful abyss. Original avant-garde music turns Finnick’s brutalist Singaporean home into a surreal landscape. His circumstance in the story represents the worst of Generation Z's anxieties towards the expectations of adulthood and what comes after. An accompaniment to Jewel Teo Rou Qing's "The Hole in the Wall FYP Report" (2022), this report deals with my perspective of the production process behind "The Hole in the Wall" as its the lead animator and character designer, as well as my perspectives from my involvement in some concept art design and storyboard revisions. This report will highlight in detail each step we have taken to bring this film to fruition so far, from pre-production to the project's latest milestone.
