Summary: | Apiary is a non-pharmacological engaging cognitive stimulation toolkit designed to provide cognitive exercises that help slow down common symptoms of mental deterioration associated with Alzheimer's disease. Inspired by the invertebrate Honeybee, the toolkit is heavily concept by its characteristic of good social skills, memory skills and health. The toolkit design collaborates with occupational therapists to help mild to moderate stages patients in conditioning their cognitive skills such as visual processing, visuospatial, sustained attention, long-term memory, and fine motor skill while providing visual sensory stimulation. Apiary toolkit aims to provide an easy to function and practical stimulation that is different to traditional stimulation by injecting creativity and the involvement of the primary caregivers. |
