Focusing on associations, Those Who Come and Go, and Sometimes Stay is an installation about the effects on one’s personality by the people they have met. How do people change as they meet others? Is there an idea of a “true self”? The project uses a house as a metaphor for a person. At first sight, we see the building as it is, but looking closer at different angles, perhaps we may find more. As different tenants come and go within the house, the environment changes and sometimes creates long lasting effects on the building, just as humans do unto one another. The audience thus reflects on how much of themselves are pieces of those they have met, and how these people have affected them, be it positively or negatively, reconsidering on who they keep around them.
