Summary: | Wireless technology has exploded in use over the past few years with many new technologies
popping up and old technologies gaining new uses. Wireless technology allows us to connect
to one another in a way unheard of before for our everyday needs. One of these wireless
technologies is Radar (Radio Distance and Ranging Research into radar initially began in the
1930s as a method of early warning against enemy aircraft approaching. However, in our
modern era, radar is no longer used for only aviation purposes. Now, they can be commonly
found being used in other applications such as the automotive sector, where radars are
commonly found in modern new cars. The aim of this study is to make use of this technology
on the road. By gathering data and putting it through a programme and classifying the
datapoints into different objects commonly found on the road, additionally the project will
also conduct real-world experiments using the ARS 408 radar. |
