Technology has greatly expanded the possibilities of type design in graphic design. However, technology is rarely being explored or experimented on in local type design. This project is localised by drawing inspiration from fonts used in a local print publication published in the 1900s called the ‘Straits Times Annual’ by the Straits Times Printing Press. Advanced technology involved in font production today was applied to create dynamic typefaces suitable for contemporary use.
