Microtremor observations in Singapore

The objective of this report is to be able to deduce the subsurface structure profile of the locations that are mentioned, using the Microtremor Survey Methods (MSM). In this case, two methods, the Spatial Autocorrelation (SPAC) method and the frequency-wavenumber (f-k) method are used. The repor...

In this case, two methods, the Spatial Autocorrelation (SPAC) method and the frequency-wavenumber (f-k) method are used. The report started off with an introduction regarding this project, followed by the literature review of earthquakes and microtremors. The field observations that were conducted from the 29th September to 3rd October 2008 will then be mentioned. After which, the methods mentioned shall be further discussed, along with the results. Only the data and result analysis of Katong Park shall be touched on in this report. With reference to the results and graphs produced, the subsurface structure profile of Katong Park shall be deduced. Lastly, a conclusion will be made to summarize the whole report.
