Description
Summary:This project aims to investigate and optimize patterning method on aesthetics art of beverage such as latte. By the effort of previous investigators, 4D latte art that mini sculptures floating and self-moving atop of the latte surface is achieved. However, to patterning on the surface of mini-size sculptures becomes a new challenge to the artists as the color of pattern externally added onto the surface dissolved when put it into the liquid surface. Therefore, the principal of patterning in this study is based on 2 theories, which are fading color by UV light and burning surface by laser, by which the pattern was engraved into the surface rather than externally added. Since the research serves for food or beverages industry, all materials and patterning methods to be applied are edible and non-toxic. For instance, testing substrate is in form of membrane made of tapioca starch mixed with natural or edible synthetic pigments. Furthermore, there will be not any toxic additives added into the UV or laser process.
