Using the induced variation of the resistance as a measure of the temperature sensor's sensitivity, an experiment was conducted to determine its sensitivity to different temperatures. The IDC sensor was also used to investigate the different potential applications. IDC sensor accuracy was verified by observing the capacitance change in solid samples in order to determine the sensor's capability to differentiate between dielectric materials. In the next step, a liquid sample test was conducted to investigate the sensitivity to solutions of dissolved salts. In order to determine if the IDC sensor was able to detect approaching objects based on its capacitance change, dynamic experiments were used to test the sensor's sensitivity.
