Summary:The aim of this study is to gain some preliminary understanding of the status of the creative talent in Singapore and how the higher education institutions in Singapore can help to nurture the creative manpower to support the efforts of the creative industries. The exploratory nature of the study involved a qualitative methodology in data gathering. Interviews with industry players within the creative industries and educationists were conducted to provide different perspectives in the assessment of the creative talent in Singapore and to find out the key factors necessary for the higher educational institutions to harness Singapore’s creative capital and transform Singapore into a vibrant Creative economy.
