Description
Summary:A bladder is a container which is typically made of rubber to store fluid. It can be folded and kept easily when there is no fluid inside the bladder while it can also store many type of fluids like gasoline, drinking water, etc. It is widely used in industry nowadays due to its portability and high mechanical strength. For safety reason, it is necessary to determine the pressure exerted by the fluid that is being filled into the bladder. Conventional pressure transducer, used to measure pressure, is not suitable to be installed to the bladder container since it is not feasible to connect a pressure sensor to a bladder. This will cause higher cost of manufacturing and also might cause tear or cut to the bladder that is usually made of rubber when the bladder is being folded and kept. To overcome this problem, a non contact pressure sensor is being designed. This project is to design a pressure test rig that is used to determine the pressure of the fluid in a bladder so that the data obtained can be used to compare with the data obtained from the non contact pressure sensor in the future. With this, the performance of the non contact pressure sensor will be known and improved.
