Feasible study of hydroelectric power for sustainable development
In this report, Singapore’s rainfall is analysed in order to determine the estimated total amount of rainfall that the design system in this report would be able to collect daily and as well as the total capacity the design should be holding. In additional, the climate is analysed to determine the...

All of the mentioned components are variables. By varying the values of the length of pipe provides us with the values of elevation of the reservoir surface, diameter of the pipe and velocity of the output flow of the fluid. In this report, Singapore’s rainfall is analysed in order to determine the estimated total amount of rainfall that the design system in this report would be able to collect daily and as well as the total capacity the design should be holding. In additional, the climate is analysed to determine the effect on the properties of fluid, particularly rainwater. Finally, the landscape of Singapore is explored in order to determine the suitable location for the design system.
The designs in this report are based on Singapore’s available resources. The designs are further evaluated base on the analysis mentioned in the earlier paragraph, the advantages and disadvantages and lastly the feasibility of the design.
As for the design details, the use of energy equation allow us to establish the relationship between the length of pipe, elevation of the reservoir surface, diameter of the pipe and velocity of the output flow of the fluid. All of the mentioned components are variables. By varying the values of the length of pipe provides us with the values of elevation of the reservoir surface, diameter of the pipe and velocity of the output flow of the fluid. Using the final values of the components allow us to determine whether the system is capable of achieving the objectives of this report. |
